How I Find Amazing Bargains for Profit

Saving and Making Money with Government Auctions in 3 Quick Steps

Rolex14060MSub1 As some of my loyal readers already know, I take my bargain hunting abilities pretty seriously. In order to help support my daughter in these tough economic times, I’ve been forced to put my skills in action to help make ends meet.Let me show you exactly how I’m able to pick up some awesome products for much less than they’re actually worth, and even turn a profit in the process.
Everyone knows that you can find some really awesome deals at yard sales, estate sales, and flea markets. While these are great places for people to grab a deal from time to time, they lack in three areas: you’re likely to only save a few dollars, there’s rarely any you actually need, and the items sold at these events generally don’t have much resell value.

Find Everything From Laptops To Boats at Government Auctions

If you want to be am expert bargain hunter, look no further than government auctions, where you can bid on items that have been seized or repossessed by the IRS, DEA, local police, and other government agencies.

The government has more of this type of property than they know what to do with, and are willing to auction things off for a fraction of the actual value. A quick search turns up thousands of cars, hundreds of homes, and everything in-between, that are going for much less than they should be.

Some of the recent bargains at Government Auctions:

  • Rolex Yachtmaster Mens Watch. List Price: $5,075                    Sold for $75
  • Panasonic 58″ Plasma HDTV 1080P – Valued: $1,799.95          Sold for $345
  • 5 Bedroom, house in Fort Myers, FL. Appraised at $427K          Sold for $45,000
  • Seized 2007 BMW 335i Coupe – Valued at $37,900                   Sold for $5,900
  • Schwinn Mensa Mountain Bike – Retail Price: $399.95               Sold for $27

In order to financially survive the last few months of this recession, I’ve directed my attention toward Government Auctions for all major purchases, like kitchen appliances and furniture. When my fridge kicked the bucket this past summer, I was able to replace it that weekend, without having to take out a loan or charging it to a credit card.

This past Christmas, when money was especially tight, I was able to find an awesome deal on a small car for my daughter. Without a doubt, the best gift I’ve ever been able to afford for my her, and she really needed a car for school and work. Seeing her face light up when I brought her out to the garage was well worth the $700 I paid for the car.

I’ve also been able to find some great deals on seized watches, video cameras, and cell phones. I then turn around and sell some of them on Gold. This provides me with the extra cash I need to make my rent and car payment on time every month. I’m now able to support myself and my daughter solely by reselling property purchased at Government Auction. (Keep reading to learn how I’m earning cold hard cash on the side)

You do have to pay a small fee to get local auction results, but they’re currently charging less than $2 for a membership (down from $34.95). Pocket change in comparison to the money you’ll save at these auctions.

Shop around, or search for a particular product. Either way, you’re going to find what you want, and for much less than it’s actually worth. Check out this website to see what’s for sale in your area.

As for me? I loooove to fish. In fact, there’s a lake just a few miles from where I live. My buddies have been trying to convince me to invest in a small fishing boat with them for months now. Although I’ve already picked up some ridiculously cheap fishing rods, I’ve finally convinced myself to spend a couple hundred for my share of a boat. This coming Spring/Summer is going to be great!

I also picked up a 5 piece leather couch set to refurnish my basement with, just the other day, for only $276. And a few weeks prior, I was able to find a like-new Rolex watch, for only $75. Still, the car I bought for my daughter, Keighley, is still my favorite purchase to date!

How Do Government Auctions Work?

Government Auctions are simple. Various government agencies will seize property, without having place or reason to keep them. It actually costs more to store these things, than it does to sell them off at ridiculously low prices.

Until very recently, you would have to browse through newspapers and legal journals to find out what discount items were being auctioned off on any given day, and where you could go to bid.

Now I’m not sure how they do it, but Government Auction Alert is able to gather all this exclusive information, and present it to you in an easy to search database of government auctions from all over the country.

Yeah, you heard right. You don’t even need to attend a physical auction to get great deals on all kinds of stuff, from flatscreen TVs, to office furniture. Me personally? All of my winning bids have been online, and I wouldn’t do it any other way.
